Bakewell is a lovely Peak District town and home of the Bakewell Pudding. It is an old market town set in the heart of the Peak District and with the River Wye meandering through the centre. You can wander round the town to see the historic buildings, stroll along the river, picnic in the parks and browse the shops. Today the town will be lively as it is market day.
