Warwick Castle originally built by William the Conqueror in 1068, two years after the Conqueror’s victory at Hastings, the Castle has a rich, exciting history. It was an important site to William due to its location in the centre of England, and it also gave him control over a critical section of Britain’s longest Roman Road, Fosse Way. There are lots of things to do including the Conservatory Tea House where you can pick up a light lunch, cream tea, ice cream or hot drink, to enjoy whilst you wander around this stunning part of the castle estate.
