Highclere Castle. Or as you may know it “Downton Abbey”. The Downton Abbey movie premiered in September 2019 to much acclaim. Take the opportunity to enjoy exploring 'behind the scenes' and discovering the real history and the beautiful gardens. The first written records of the estate date back to 749 when an Anglo-Saxon King granted the estate to the Bishops of Winchester.
