Premier shopping centre, boasting three excellent shopping centres, with a good mix of specialist shops and the country's leading retailers. The largest town in the National Forest, internationally known as the capital of British brewing. The River Trent and the Trent and Mersey canal wind their way through the town. The town has many fine buildings including the Town Hall, St. Margaret's Church, St. Paul's and St Mowdens Church. Close to the shops is the Coors Visitor Centre (formerly the Bass Museum), which tells the story of Bass, Brewing and Beer, with frequently changing exhibitions, horse-drawn and motorised historic vehicles and Shire Horses.
